How customers can create and manage Product Lists

Product Lists allow logged-in customers to save products for later, organise them into named lists, and quickly add them to basket whenever they need them. This is ideal for repeat purchases, favourite products, or frequently ordered items.

Enable Product Lists

Product Lists are disabled by default.

To enable the feature, go to:

Settings > Site Settings > Product & Search Settings > "Customers can create product lists"

Once enabled, customers will be able to create, manage and use their own product lists throughout your shop.

How customers use Product Lists

Save products from a product page

Customers can save products directly from the product page using the Add to List block that you can find on your product page in BlockLab:

Customers can:

  • Create a new list.
  • Add a product to an existing list.
  • Save products with their selected quantity.

If they haven’t created a list before, they’ll be prompted to create one. Alternatively, they can add the product to any existing list they own.

The quantity selected on the product page is saved with the product.

Save an entire basket

Customers can also save all of the items currently in their basket as a product list.

They can either create a new list or add the basket to an existing one.

If a product already exists in the selected list, the quantities are combined rather than creating duplicate entries.

View and manage lists

Customers can access all of their saved lists from My Account.

From here they can:

  • View every saved list.
  • Rename a list.
  • Change the list description.
  • Delete a list.
  • Move products between lists.
  • Copy products to another list.

Add products to basket

Customers can quickly reorder products from any saved list.

They can:

  • Add individual products to the basket.
  • Add an entire list to the basket.
  • View product prices and list totals before adding items.

If a product already exists in the basket, the quantities are automatically combined instead of creating duplicate basket lines.

Product availability

Lists always respect your shop’s product visibility.

If a customer:

  • no longer has access to a product through their catalogue, or
  • the product has been deleted,

that product will no longer appear in their saved list.

Notes

  • Product Lists are available to logged in customers only.
  • Customers can create as many lists as they need.
  • Products can be organised and re-organised across multiple lists for easier reordering.
