How do I manage Tempus?
Tempus is Symphony’s real-time orchestration plugin designed for wholesalers and resellers. It enables instant product updates, streamlined order syncing, and effortless collaboration between connected merchants. This guide explains how to configure and manage Tempus from your admin panel.
Install the Plugin
- Go to Plugins.
- Click on See All Plugins at the top right of the page.
- Find Tempus.
Notifications
Under Tempus > Settings, make sure you add your personal information such as your email address where you, as a reseller, will receive invite notifications.
This information will also be used as your order information when an order is sent to the wholesaler if you decide to use your own details. If no information is provided, the default client details from Settings > Site Settings will be used.
Inviting a Reseller
To invite a reseller, head to Tempus > Resellers > Add Reseller. You’ll need to provide your reseller’s ID.
The reseller will receive an email notification and, once accepted, the link will be established. Your reseller will then be ready to start the setup process.
Start Selling Wholesaler Products
To start selling wholesaler products, head to Tempus > Wholesalers > [Your Wholesaler].
Use the Visibility Rules section to decide which products you will sell in your store. You can filter products by Brand, Category or Tags, and combine multiple conditions for advanced control.
Once your rules are ready, enable Product Import and click Save. Your selected products will appear in your shop within seconds.
Bulk Transformations
Bulk Transformations allows you to make batch edits to imported products, such as adjusting prices or changing categories.
Go to Tempus > Wholesalers > [Your Wholesaler] > Bulk Transformations. Add a new transformation and follow these steps:
Step 1: Define which products to transform using rules.
Step 2: Choose an action (Adjust Price, Adjust Customisation Price, Change Category). Enter your desired values and click Save. Changes will apply within seconds.
Note: If you want to re-route products to a different category, you must create the new category first in the admin system. Refer to the "How do I add a category?" article for guidance.
Orders Syncing
To enable order syncing, go to Tempus > Wholesalers > [Your Wholesaler] > Orders.
Order Status: Select the order status at which orders will be sent to the wholesaler. When an order reaches this status, syncing will begin automatically or be available for manual submission.
Order Approvals: Choose whether orders are sent automatically or require manual approval.
If set to manual, a 'Send Order to Wholesaler' button will appear on the order edit page. You can review profits before confirming. If the quote isn’t favourable, you can regenerate it later.
Order Customer Information: Choose whether the customer information sent to the wholesaler is your business details or the end customer’s.
Order Delivery Address: Choose whether the delivery address on synced orders is the end customer’s address or your own business address.
Map Order Status: Manage order statuses when a wholesaler updates your linked order.
Map Delivery Options: Manage delivery options for each wholesaler to ensure accurate shipping setup.
